Central Lutheran Church had their most recent open worship service on Sunday, March 8, 2020, the Second Sunday in Lent, the day Daylight Saving Time began. That week, the Northwestern Intermountain Synod, the ELCA, and the State of Washington asked churches to end large group gatherings due to the rising cases and deaths of the coronavirus global pandemic.
Since then, Pastor Carolyn has live-streamed on FacebookLive worship each Sunday morning, first from the chapel at Central, later from her home, as well as evening services for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Ascension Day. A few photos are here from worship during this “unprecedented” time.
At this writing, we are still asked to “stay home and stay healthy!” This post will be updated as other decisions are made.
