Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Some news since last Christmas:
Carolyn is serving as an interim minister at St. Mark’s Lutheran in St. Paul, Nebraska. After completing her internship at Frieden’s Lutheran here in Lincoln, she volunteered at Tabitha throughout the summer. She graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in May from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. She was assigned to the Nebraska Synod and still awaits a call. We pray the process will expeditious. Our home in Lincoln is still up for sale, and we’re hoping the market improves this year.
Dave continues to teach English Language Learners at North Star High School. His mother died last January unexpectedly, and we all miss her very much.
Daniel and Emily continue to live in Ames, Iowa, with their cat, Chloe, where Emily is completing her PhD. Dan commutes to Des Moines for his web development job at Integer. They’re looking forward to moving on after graduation.
Bethany completed her Fulbright Scholar year in Polewali, Indonesia in May and settled back in San Francisco where she is the technical support specialist at The Urban School, a private high school. She lives in Oakland, and enjoys everything the Bay area has to offer as she contemplates her future endeavors. Carolyn and Dave visited Bethany in Indonesia in March, and in San Francisco in July. They still care for her cat, Jambo.
